| Have you ever been lucky enough to see or meet James Franco? Share your story with the world! E-mail me your story (along with a picture if desired) to be put up on this page. Thanks! Ashley's Encounter I went to see the movie A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints tonight [August 29, 2006] at the Arclight in L.A. and a few celebs showed up just to see the movie. The first was Emile Hirsch. He came in with this army jacket, totally unshaven, kinda bumish but still looked good. There was another man with him that so look liked an actor but I can't place his name, he was bald though. Anyways a bit after that I look to the side again and none other then James Franco was coming into the theater! He was talking to the bald guy too. He came with about 3 girls, none of which were Sienna though. I won't go into details about the movie and junk but it was amazing! Shia/Channing/Robert Downey Jr. and the rest of the cast gave amazing performances. After the movie the director (Dito Montiel) was supposed to do a Q&A but Shia Labeouf showed up to join him. Made things about 100000x better. They answered about 10 questions and then after the movie I got to talk to Shia. As if meeting Shia wasn't already cool, I'm leaving the theater and James Franco was standing outside with one of the blonde girls he came with [Ahna O'Reilly]. I just had to go up to him being a huge F&G fan. He looked gorgeous. He was nice about it, just seemed a bit out of it. Stephanie's Story A few weeks ago I met James when he came down to Austin, Tx for the Austin Film Festival. He was debuting his movie The Ape and was there for the Q&A. He came with his assistant or manager (not sure) and a producer on The Ape. When the movie and Q&A were done he went into the lobby for autographs and pictures and I was feeling shy so I waited a long time to talk to him. Eventually I did and since I blanked out asked him the first question that came to my mind,. . . "I want to be a screenwriter, can you give me any advice?" He leaned back and thought about it for a little while and said read books and watch movies and I told him I did and he paused then said how he has problems with the ending of scripts and how he finds that the hardest. Unfortunately I sort of zoned out because I was staring at those brown eyes of his and nodded a lot so he probably thought my parents were bobble heads but oh well. I smiled and he smiled and asked okay and I said yeah thank you and a little while later he left. I was too shy to get an autograph (plus I felt embarassed since all these people had DVDs but mine wouldn't fit in my purse so all I had was a sheet of paper) or a picture with him but I got a picture of him with another lucky fan. And a conversation which I think is the best! Karina's Story Jamie's Story I met James Franco and his girlfriend Ashley Hartman at Nordstrom's at The Glendale Galleria on Friday, August 6th, 2004. I work there in the make up department and give makeovers/put make up on customers. I was lucky enough to get to do a little make up on Ashley. Before I go any further let me just state that this girl is the most gorgeous girl that I have ever seen (including in magazines.) She is breathtaking. She came in with no make up on and was absolutely flawless. She only had on some lip-gloss. She is seriously like a human Barbie doll; everyone around her was talking about how gorgeous she was. (Which I imagine happens to her every time she goes out.) She was very sweet to everybody and was having a fun time. She was very entertaining to talk to and wasn’t stuck up at all. James was sitting with us while she was getting her make up done and was very interesting to talk to too. He is so gorgeous in real life. Trust me... all of the pictures of him don’t do him enough justice! He is also breathtaking. He had his hair styled back like he has it in the Spider-Man 2 film. He was wearing some sunglasses and a muscle t-shirt and some jeans. Ashley was wearing a small t-shirt and a short skirt. They are seriously like one of the most gorgeous couples out there. James was really funny and nice to everybody who came up to him. He was drinking a Starbucks Caramel Frappachino, which they both shared. He looked a lot more bulk than I have ever seen him and I asked him about it. He told me that he was getting ready to film a movie where he plays a boxer. (Should be hot!) Ashley then said something like "He is doing a Disney movie. I’m totally jealous. I love Disney movies," in a jokingly manner. They are a very affectionate couple. Very "lovey dovey" and for some reason they reminded me of Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. Probably because the girl is younger, blonde, (kind of a ditz) and they both are gorgeous and make a wonderful couple. I noticed a beautiful diamond ring on her wedding finger. I didn’t have the courage to ask her about it, but my friend, Caroline bluntly asked them "You guys are married?" She said that they weren’t and that it was a "promise ring for her virginity." I actually wouldn’t be surprised if they were engaged. I looked up on the net that she was just about to turn 19, so I doubt that’s the case. (Nothing to worry about than girls!) I think its great that James snagged himself a wonderful, beautiful girl with such high morals. I couldn’t ask for an autograph or picture because it’s against store policy, but they did both sign their receipts for their purchases after the credit card transactions. We usually get a few "celebrities" coming in every now and then. These two were definitely my favorite. They were very sweet and not stuck up like some people with their status that I have found to be. By the way, Ashley looked just as good, if not better, before I put make up on her. She is seriously perfect! I was a little jealous. But there is probably no way you could feel hatred towards her, the only thing that can be compared to her beauty is her character and personality – which are amazing as well. From my point of view, this could very well be the next big Hollywood couple. :) |
